June 2, 2026, Kashiabari, Haldibari : The football ground of JCMS Brother John Boys echoed with cheers and house slogans on Tuesday as Mark (Red) House took on Luke (Blue) House in the final of the Inter-House Football Tournament 2026.
Students carrying banners and house flags gathered around the field long before kickoff, while teachers and guardians watched from the sidelines. The atmosphere resembled a mini football championship as both teams entered the ground to loud applause.
The match began at a fast pace with Mark House creating early pressure through captain whose attacking runs repeatedly tested the Blue defence. Luke House responded strongly with quick passing movements and dangerous counter-attacks.
Several exciting moments kept spectators engaged throughout the match. A sharp save from goalkeeper prevented Luke House from taking control during the first half, while Mark House came close again late in the game through a powerful strike that narrowly missed the target.
Teachers supervising the event praised the discipline and sporting spirit shown by players from both sides as chants from students continued across the campus.
With no winner emerging during regular time, the final moved directly into a tie-breaker under tournament rules.
The atmosphere instantly turned tense as players stepped forward for penalties. Students watched silently from behind the touchline before erupting after every successful kick and save.
The decisive moment arrived when goalkeeper produced a crucial stop during the shootout, allowing Luke House to seal the title with the winning penalty.
“We stayed focused and trusted our preparation,” said captain of the winning side after the match.
